Lactose Intolerance and Digestion

What if someone is drinking raw milk, or they would like to drink raw milk, but they realize that they’re not digesting it properly?

Lactose intolerance is very common.

We need to understand that when the milk is not being digested properly, it’s not the milk that’s the problem. It’s your digestive system.

We don’t recommend starting on raw milk if you do have a digestive issue.

But, there are places to start to heal the intestines. And, when that begins to occur, then you can add that wonderful venue to your diet.

If you are getting back into the raw milk, starting with your cultured milks might be a better place for you to start: yogurt, kefir, sour cream, good raw milk cheese.

That might be the best place for you to start because the culturing process predigests the milk. When you put that product in your body, your body doesn’t have the strain of digesting it. It will absorb the nutrients, and the enzymes, and all the goodness in it. But, it won’t have the strain of digesting the milk product.
