Introduction to Laurie's Sourdough Bread

Sourdough bread is a living food (just like milk, cheese, yogurt, sauerkraut, kombucha, and raw vegetables and fruits). It uses micro-organisms to pre-digest the grain, making vitamins and minerals more readily available to absorb.

The sourdough process neutralizes the acids which naturally preserve the grain. When acids are gone, the grain is readily digestible. If not, our bodies have to do the job of neutralizing, which is hard on our digestive systems.

Whether you bake your own bread or not, if you want a healthier diet, commercial breads should be replaced by sourdough products.

Commercial bread is a major source of the worst ingredients of our modern diets: highly-refined white flour, white sugar, processed salt, soybean oil, preservatives, conditioners and manufactured yeast.

With the sourdough process you're about to learn, you can make sourdough bread, buns, pizza crust, tortillas; EVEN cakes and cookies.

So, let's roll up our sleeves and get to it!
